Before signing up for a SIM Only deal it’s important to check whether you’ll get the signal and data coverage you need.
See here for a list of every mobile provider and the network they use for voice and data.
Thanks to Ofcom we can also provide you with a free coverage map service.
This handy tool will tell you
- 3G data coverage where you live/work
- 4G data coverage where you live/work
- Voice call quality
- Whether your signal will work indoors
To get an idea of the coverage for different providers in your area, just enter your postcode in the box below.
It’s worth checking postcodes for all the places you use your phone most often – such as home, work etc.
You’ll notice that only four networks are shown in the coverage checker. This is because all UK mobile service providers use one of EE, O2, Vodafone and Three as a parent network.
While the likes of Virgin, Plusnet, Lebara or Tesco Mobile are separately owned and operated, with their own prices and services, they still use the same network framework, so they’ll have the same signal coverage.
See below for a list of all the different service providers arranged by the networks they use.
